TAKE ON A TABOo
Pick a societal taboo that makes us squirm when we have to talk about it publicly, choose or create a brand to break it with, and get people talking.
Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is the process where the clitoris and labia are removed from the vulva for no medical reason. There are around 137,000 victims of FGM in England and Wales, the majority being in London.
This campaign is aimed at teachers to get them to learn about FGM so that they are able to spot potential victims. The project includes a series of campaign posters and an educational pack that follows the message of “Teachers do your homework”. The posters and educational pack are designed to mimic school textbooks and the idea of learning about a topic and answering the questions about it.
